How To Easily Maximize Your Article Marketing Efforts
If you've got a website that is just begging for traffic but you don't have any cash to buy some
, then you need some free methods. That's where article marketing comes in. You can blast out hundreds of articles to thousands of article directories and then just sit back and wait for the thundering stampede of people dying to get to your site to learn all about you and your products. Of course, it's not so easy. Many articles never see the light of day, let alone get any clicks on the resource box. The good news is that by following a few simple rules, you can easily increase your success rate.
The first thing you'll need to do is choose the right keywords. Make sure they are keywords that don't have a lot of competition, but have lots of searches. Then use these keywords a few times throughout your articles. That way your articles will get picked up by the search engines. Be careful not to exceed a keyword density of two percent on any of your keywords, because that will get you flagged for keyword stuffing and your article will get rejected.
The second thing you'll need to do is make sure the actual article is well written. Use conversational English so it's easy to read. Double check for spelling and grammar. Have a flow so people will naturally finish it. Leave out a bit of information, so people will want to click on the links in the resource box. Make sure to write a compelling call to action in the resource box as well.
Cross linking is a good strategy that will give you credibility. If you reference other articles that are written by authority authors, then you'll be seen as knowing what you are talking about. Be careful, though, as some article directories don't allow for external linking inside of the article itself.
Backlinking your articles is essential. Once you've got a well written article that is getting a decent click through rate, you'll need to get it ranked well in the search engines. Do everything you can to build links to that article. Forum links, blog commenting, and encouraging other people to link to it are all good strategies.
When you take your time to write an article based on these principles, you'll have a lot more success. More people will read it, more people will click on your links, and you'll make more money.
