How To Fix In A New Keyboard In Your Acer Notebook

Step: 1
Turn off your notebook.
Step: 2
Unplug the AC adapter from your notebook, whether you have set it on charge or its just plugged in, simply remove it for safety measure.
Step: 3
Take modem cable, network cable and cables of peripheral devices attached to your notebook.
Step: 4
Now turn your notebook in the opposite direction, basically in such a way that the bottom faces up. Remove one of the significant Acer notebook parts i.e. the battery.
Step: 5
After taking out the battery from your notebook, now turn it in the other direction such that its top faces up.
Step: 6
Open the LCD cover, you will see that the keyboard is fixed in at its top with the help of six spring latches.
Step: 7
Now, start from the left most corner latch at the top, by pushing the latch into its case, with the help of the screw driver. Right at that moment, slightly lift the left side of the keyboard. When you lift up the keyboard like this, it helps in stopping the latch to lock back in.
Step: 8
Follow the same procedure for the other five latches as well.
Step: 9
After releasing all the six latches, you can now easily lift the keyboard from its place from the
top and turn it facing downward direction on the palmrest.
Step: 10
The keyboard is internally connected with a cable, which you can now see easily. Keyboard can be removed completely from the notebook, only when the cable connector is unlocked.
Step: 11
Now to unlock the connector, just slide the brown tab about 2-3 millimeters towards the touchpad, but remember that the brown tab remains attached to the connector. Keep in mind to perform each and every step carefully.
Step: 12
After doing this, your keyboards cable connector will be unlocked, now you can remove the keyboard by pulling its cable out.
Step: 13
Now you can fix in a new keyboard in your Acer notebook.
