Most of the time when you try to use guilt as a way to get him back, all you will end up doing is push him further away from you.

2) Make him see that there is a compelling reason for him to come back to you.

If the temptation is compelling enough, then it will be hard for him to resist the idea of getting back together. That is good. That is what you want. You know him better than I do, so you will have a much easier time figuring out what it is that would compel him to want to come back to you. Whatever it is, use it.

3) Get him to see that there are other options for you.

You really don't want to make him think that no matter what, you will always be an option that he can come back to when he wants. That's only going to give him a reason to play around for a little while before he makes any kind of decision. By letting him see that there are other options for you, you make it apparent that he needs to decide sooner rather than later.
