There are hundreds of ways to get more clients into your business

, but unfortunately as business owners we usually get stuck in our ways and forget to think outside the box. Gone are the days where people will just buy anything anywhere, society has changed and your prospects are a lot more cautious than ever before. So how do you get more clients?

Testimonials - Before clients try out your product, they always want to hear what former clients of yours have to say about you. This where a good reputation through client satisfaction is key. The lesson is, to treat each transaction as thought it's your only and last transaction. This way, you are always motivated to give your best.

Articles - not Advertisements. - Written articles, which may be the venue to fully explaining to potential clients about the benefits of using your product is important. Don't underestimate the power of a well-written positive article. It has the power to bring in more future customers, than a witty one-line advertisement (which, incidentally, will also cost your business a lot more money). It is easy to think of come-ons in the form of an ad, but your article will back up the come-on.

Believe in the power of sampling. Think your food product is the best? There's no better way to prove your point than by having customers sample the goodies. One taste will prove your claims. On the other hand, make sure the taste is good, otherwise, you'll end up sabotaging your product more than promote it.

Ask your existing clients for referrals. This is similar to a testimonial. Pick you most satisfied customers and ask that they "spread the good news" to their friends. Many businesses have flourished by referral system alone.

Find a successful business that will team up with yours - for better business. For example, propose a team-up with a hamburger outlet, if you are a burger pattie dealer. Of course, it's impossible to sell burgers without the burger patty.

Contrary to what people think, personalize your marketing. What's the reason behind the success of KFC and Mrs. Fields? Well there's a picture of Colonel Sanders and Mrs. Fields on the product. Consumers generally like to connect with the manufacturer/business owner, rather than a hard, impersonal business name.

Be reachable. Nobody will buy again from an appliance store that does not give an address or phone number to contact, in case problems may arise. Assure your customers that you are not just present during the sale, but also after the service is rendered.

Communicate with your clients. Especially with restaurants and food stalls, asking a customer how the food is, or asking how they would want their food (example - rare, well-done, etc) is one way of showing that your customers' satisfaction is important to you.
