When moving to a new place, it is traditional to invite your friends and family for a housewarming party. This is also your chance to invite your neighbors to get to know them. The following are tips to make your housewarming party a blast:

1. Count the number of guests you want to invite for your housewarming party and plan out your menu. Try recalling the food that your friends and family request from you most of the time. When it comes to your neighbors, try to be observant. You don't want to meddle with their affairs, but you should, at least, know their religion in order not to offend them with the food you serve. For Indians for instance, don't serve them beef since cows are sacred to them. It is best to have a great relationship with your neighbors and the people around you especially when you are new in the area.

2. When you have planned everything, you need to send invitations in advance or, at least, call your guests personally and ask them to come. Be familiar with your house so that you can give you friends a tour around it without getting lost yourself. Introduce your guests to each other. This can create good vibes for your home and will be great to start a new life with. It's a housewarming party, after all. It's like warming up the house with your guests' warm presence and well-wishes.

A housewarming is a casual and traditional gathering. It doesn't need you to put decors or make elaborate preparations. Gifts are customary, of course, but never expect that everyone will give you one. This party isn't only for the person who just moved in to a new house. It can also be enjoyed for those who have just remodeled or renovated their homes. It can be celebrated in the garden to accommodate more guests.
