How To Hit A Golf Ball - 10 Best Golf Swing Tips
Anyone can hit a golf ball but not everyone can hit a golf ball and watch it go where they want it to
. With a little practice or a lot of practice and hitting with the proper swing, you can hit the golf ball and get it to go where you want it to go.
1. If you're left handed just reverse these instructions to fit you. They are basically for right-handed golfers.
2. First stand behind the ball and locate the target on the golf course or on your driving range. The driving range is a better place to start until you get familiar with some of the basics. Make sure no one is standing close to you.
3. Grip the club properly. Have someone close by show you the grip if you haven't learned it yet. Stand facing the golf ball with both of your feet together about a little less than an arm's length away from the golf ball. Keep your left shoulder toward the target.
4. Take a little step away from your target with your left foot. Now take a normal step back using your right foot. Keep your feet a shoulder's width apart.
5. Use a hand position called a forward press. If you look from above your hands will be a little left of the ball. In this position, the angle of the club will be forward. If you were to look from behind - the shaft would be tilted to the left. This causes the hitting face to be angled.
6. Now, pull the golf club to your right side. This would be straight back away from the golf ball to the top of the backswing. Keep the club parallel to the ground and over your shoulder.
7. Without stopping or pausing at the top of the backswing, immediately swing the golf club back and down the same way.
8. Very important - keep your head down. This is one of the tips you'll hear often from golf pros. Now hit the ball. Let the club follow through until it touches your backside. Don't be afraid to let the club dig up a divot. Most beginning golfers hit the top of the ball. Now watch your ball hit the target. Replace any divots if you're on a golf course.
9. Be careful of your back. If you hit the ball too hard and fast you can hurt your back and cause back pain from too much twisting.
10. That's it. With a little practice, you can learn to hit a golf ball correctly. It's important to spend a lot of time learning how to hit the ball and to hit the ball straight. Hitting the ball with the proper golf swing is worth the time and effort. Practice, practice practice.
This is just some of the tips and pointers you can learn to play golf correctly. Learning golf swings right in the beginning will save you having to correct hitting and swinging problems later and will be much harder to do than learning it correctly in the beginning. There are also great golf swing improvement aids that can help you hit a golf ball perfectly.
