If you've recently bought a car, you probably are worried about keeping it looking brand new for as long as possible

. If you really want your car to stay looking show-room sparkling for a long time to come, then follow the subsequent set of car-cleaning tips. Not only will you be able to have a sparkling car full time, you will be able to keep it in tip-top shape in case you ever want to resell it. First and foremost, vacuum your car on a regular schedule. Get in the habit of driving to the local gas station and sucking up all your weekly dirt on an appointed day.

Pick, say, Friday and then make it a goal to go every week and not only vacuum out your car but wipe down the interior and clean up any garbage laying around. You may not be able to wash the outside every week but you will feel much better about driving around if the inside looks shiny clean. Along with keeping the inside of your car clean, invest in a few accessories that will help you keep dirt to a minimum. Buy some quality auto mats and keep them over the carpet by your feet. This way if you ever are unable to vacuum you can at least shake off the mats and have a semi tidy looking ride. Fix any upholstery tears and stains as soon as they happen. An untreated stain will only get worse and set.

A hole in the seat will tear and grow over time. If you don't think you know how to deal with the fabric issue yourself, take it to a car dealer or an upholstery cleaning company and get some professional help. Little tears and stains can turn into big problems if not treated right away. Keeping a new car looking new doesn't have to be a full time job. It just takes a little forethought. Schedule a weekly or bi-monthly trip to vacuum things out. Keep mats on the floors for easy cleaning. Always fix little cosmetic problems before they turn into something worse. If you are diligent in taking good care of your car, you will feel proud to drive it for many years and have an easier time selling it when the time does come to part with it.
