When you wash your Jiu Jitsu Gi from day one make sure to wash it in cold water only
. It is a must. If you wash it in warm water it will help stains set into the material of your Jiu Jitsu Kimonos which is just dirty. So keep aware of that. Also try not to put your Jiu Jitsu Gis in the dryer after its wash and try to start hang drying them as an alternative. This will surely increase the lifespan of your Bjj Gi. Hang drying them may take a day or so but is well worth it. Also another very important bit of information is to make sure to never use bleach. Bleach will shorten the lifespan of your Jiu Jitsu Gi and it will eat away the cotton fibers. If you do come across a stain issue be sure to use an organic oxidizer like Oxy-clean or something similar. When you wash your Bjj Gi also remember to turn your Bjj Kimonos inside out during wash. And do not leave your sweaty Jiu Jitsu Gi balled up in your bag.
