How To Make A Bad Logo Design
Ah, you want a logo
Ah, you want a logo. That simplistic, little concoction of visual clichs that everybody put in front of their office doors. Creating them only takes a few hours, yes.
And whats more, we can turn you into a famous designer after reading this article. You see, everybody can draw logos, and just like us, you can come up with those emblems without lifting a muscle. Come and read, we can only offer you the best knowledge on how to make your company stand out, just like what everybody else does:
1.Use templates
Right. What could make a design sweeter than having one for free? If youre the type who simply want to have an excellent badge without the heck of spending decent bucks, dream on *cough*we mean, dream big. Who knows how far can a free Internet application could take you. It might even win you a Pulitzer prize for having the most relevant and unique emblem ever.
2.Befriend Photoshop
Remember that software you use to remove your zits before you post the photo on Facebook? Use that for your brand and forget about illustrator. Never listen to the pundits who claim that Adobe Photoshop is just good for photo editing. Go on, create bad,
bad logo designs the way you please. You can deal with unruly resolution later when you realize the need to resize the emblem for a business card and a tarpaulin. Bud, Photoshop sure does miracles in your profile pictures; and it certainly will with corporate thingies.
3.Get Ideas from Prevailing Logos
If you got inspired with Nikes Just do It checks or fancied the green siren of Starbucks, do yourself a favor: copy the style! Dont have second thoughts of finding yourself one unique kick for your emblem because you wont find it, if not take years to come up with it. Copy paste as you please, add up all the features you saw from others and voila, you have a one-in-a-million emblem.
4.Dots and arcs fits all
Whatever hit the brain cells of brand designers, heres one major rule if youre running out of inspiration: add a colored dot or a bright arc somewhere in a plain typeface. Do your research and youll see that the entire clamor in logo art galleries is all about those dots and arcs. Spacey, but as we found out, it works ninety-nine percent of the time.
5.Is your nephew good in drawing? Lucky you!
And whats best, you can even have a good branding image without lifting a finger yourself. If that nephew of yours was very good in copying cartoon characters, you have a genius! Why, compare how hard it is to sketch Mickey Mouse than to draw McDonalds M. Childplay. So dont bother hiring someone who will invent a very simple piece when you have a nephew who can draw more complex figures than what they offer.
You never have to sweat creating a bad, killer logo design. All you need is an exceptional ability to copy-paste and youre on your way to fame.
Disclaimer: Sarcasm could never get this better.
