How To Prepare Yourself With The Most Exclusive Father Of The Bride Speech

Your beautiful daughter, the apple of your eye is about to take the plunge and get married

. As the father of the bride, you're expected to give a "father of the bride" speech designed to stir your audience to tears. But there's just one little problem! You've never really been the articulate kind, or the kind who likes to make speeches. Nope! That's not your kind of thing at all. In fact, you prefer reading the newspaper to conversing with guests! In short, you're an introvert! So what do you do?

Then move on to say something about your daughter. To make your speech loaded with meaning, you can start by describing the first time she opened her eyes and looked into yours as a newborn. Make sure you play the part of the proud father to the hilt. This might sound like an acting lesson, but, often, with introverts, expressing themselves is a problem and a big one at that, so this is to ensure that you overcome that!

You can describe a few quirky childhood incidents about your daughter and share some humorous escapades. Don't forget to add something about your future son-in-law. Talk about how you wanted to punch him the first time your daughter brought him home and how he made a fool of himself that day if you have to! Then go on to say that your affections towards him have changed and you have come to respect him and learnt a lot from him.

Lastly thank your wife for organizing the wedding and being your emotional anchor through it all. End by toasting the future happiness of your daughter and son-in-law. If you include all this in your speech, it will make for a funny, yet emotional speech and you'll have one very happy couple in your hands! Good luck!
