Also, if you are working at the time you file, and you are making enough money, you will be denied.

Finally, if the person applying has a felony arrest warrant the SSI application will be rejected as will anyone who has not worked enough to pay into social security. You have to have worked for at least ten years in the United States and have contributed a certain amount to the pool before they will allow you to draw from it in some cases.
