How To Save Time In Your Ebay Business
When you are running a successful business and selling a lot on eBay
, you are likely to get a LOT of emails. You could end up spending more time answering emails than doing anything else. There are several ways to minimize the number of emails that you will get.
Reduce the number of questions that you will receive by having VERY DETAILED eBay listings. Make sure that your listing answers EVERY possible question that you can think of that your customers might want to ask about what you are selling on eBay. Not just questions about the product's features but also about your terms and conditions regarding payment, shipping, returns, etc.
Compile a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page that answers ALL likely questions that you might receive and post it in on your eBay About Me page or in your eBay Store.
Each time you get asked a new question, add it to your FAQ page and consider editing your eBay listing to answer the question.
Answering every conceivable question in your listing and FAQ page not only decreases the number of emails that you get - it also improves customer confidence in you. They will have all the information they need and so will feel comfortable about buying from you on eBay.
You will still get people emailing you with questions that are answered in your eBay listing and/or your FAQ page. They may have only skimmed through your listing and not even looked at your FAQ, or they may just be needing some re-assurance that what you say is true. Compile stock email query answers on another FAQ page stored on your computer that you can copy and paste answers from into your email reply. But word your answers slightly differently so it looks like you have answered them specifically.
For instance, your eBay listing might state:
"If you are not completely satisfied, simply return the item within 30 days for a full refund of your purchase price".
Your FAQ page might say:
"Q: Is there a guarantee?
A: Yes! If you are not completely satisfied, simply return the item within 30 days for a full refund of your purchase price".
Your FAQ list that you use to copy and paste answers to emails might say:
"Thank you for your email. I can assure you that if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, just return it to us within 30 days and we will refund your purchase price in full. So you can buy from us with confidence."
If you don't use the Vendio Buyer Appreciation FREE service, or eBay's Selling Manager, have the text of your follow up emails (payment received confirmation, item sent confirmation and any other follow-up emails) pre-written and stored on your computer so you can just copy and paste them into emails when needed.
