Over and over again people look towards the internet and figure that they can build a business with it. And the worst part is that they think that they can just work on it every now and then. This could not be any further from what really needs to happen. It actually takes a bit more work than that.

It actually takes consistency to have a business really grow. Consistency doesn't mean that you the creator of the business would need to be spending all of your time on the business. What it means is that you would need to be constantly putting time into the business so that the business can grow towards its goals.

Here's an example of what I'm even talking about here. Let's say that you are going to do a complete renovation on the kitchen of your house. Say the sink, the floor, the lighting, the paint, the windows, you know, making the kitchen totally new. And let's also say that you were going to do this all yourself by just poking around at it here and there. If you even managed to get it done, it would take you years to do.

But if you take a few moments right at the beginning of the whole project and decide to put together a plan of consistently working on the renovation on a weekly basis, it really will not take that long till you would have your new kitchen up and running. This is exactly how it works with starting an online business. You need to be consistent with the action you're taking.

If you're not consistent with the action, your business will not be going anywhere. It's as simple as that.

Now make the decision right from the beginning of starting an online business that you'll be consistent. It doesn't even matter if it's only just a 6 or 7 hours a week, just be consistent. This is a major key and a big secret of starting an online business.
