The best way to think of Twitter is like you are going to a party and meeting other like minded people. If you open your mouth and try and sell them something, they will quickly back away from you. You can do this by putting a @ in front of the user name, or simply clicking on the arrow at the end of the tweet that you want to reply to. Twitter allows you to send somebody a direct message, and this makes it easier to build up your relationships. You will gain more Twitter followers if you make your tweets interesting and informative.

Twitter is a wonderful platform to connect with new people. You can use these connections to get new ideas, joint venture partners and plenty of opportunities to help others. Helping and encouraging each other is one of the perks of having a Twitter account. By using the leverage of the internet and Twitter, anything is possible.
