1. One of the most important things about building charm with someone is to make eye contact. Always make eye contact and look into the eyes of the person you are talking to. On that same note, make sure you blink because that can freak people out if you don't.

2. If you are going to be charming, then you need to practice your wit. With and charm tend to go hand in hand, so try out some witty remarks and work at it. You will need to have good improvisation skills to do this properly.

3. You need to be sincere because sincerity shows people you respect them and that will get them to respect you. You want to come across as a genuine person.

4. When you are having a conversation, you need to know what you are talking about and that means being a good conversationalist. To do that, you need to develop a wealth of knowledge on a diverse number of subjects. You do not have to be an expert, but if you at least have some base knowledge, you can show you are a person who has many diverse interests.

5. When you are talking to another person, that person should be the center of attention for you. They are the one you should be talking about, and you should avoid talking about yourself. Talking about yourself can hurt your charm and make you look arrogant and self-absorbed.

6. Be friendly to people and do not be selfish. You want to talk to people, break the ice with them, shake their hands and smile. You do not want to be selfish putting your needs ahead of the other person's and you want to show that you are a friend, even if you just met that person.

7. Manners are important because they show that you are sophisticated and have an air of class about you. People will respect that and they will be drawn to you if you practice good manners.
