How to Monetize Your Blog - 3 simple steps for beginners

2. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing on your blog is an easy option for beginners. Just search for companies with affiliate programs. Amazon.com is probably one of the largest online affiliate programs. You can sign up to be their affiliate and post a link on your site. When people click on it and purchase items from Amazon using your affiliate link you get paid a commission. Other popular affiliate sites are WigetBucks, ClickBank, Itunes, and Commission Junction. Check out websites you normally purchase products from and see if they have an affiliate program. They will provide you with banner ads to place on your blog.

Having an ad ready blog template makes posting ads on your site much easier.

3. Having an online newsletter

By having an online newsletter you get people to opt-in to an email subscribers list. This list becomes a customer base for you. As you begin to get an audience and provide valuable content, your list of subscribers will grow. Then when you are ready to offer some type of product, you already have a potential customer base. Most bloggers will at some point provide their own products on their website to earn money. This could come in the form of a paid webinar for their expertise or ebooks and how to courses. Although you can make good money on ads, usually producing their own products is the bulk of a bloggers online income.
