If you have received some low grades on tests and exams throughout the school year and you have a big exam coming up there are things that you can do to dramatically improve your grades now and for the final exam.

Even if your grades have been only mediocre so far this year if you can squeeze out the B+ or an A for the final exam you can dramatically improve your overall grade for that class for the year.

Here are three simple steps you can take to dramatically improve grades in school for this year.

-set aside an appointment with your teacher. make sure you communicate to the teacher your meeting is your concern with your grades and to bring your grades up. This one step all by itself will show the teacher your concerned about your grades. You could say this is brown nosing your teacher and a political move but it could go a long way in bringing your grades up. Granted this is not a long term solution for getting better grades in school.

-learn to speed read. Since pretty much every subject in school involve lots of reading if you can double or tripleyour reading speed to 600 words per minute or more then it would stand to reason you willaccomplishedtwo tothree times as much in the same amount of time. In other words you would learn a lot more and you would learn more quickly. Speed reading is actually not that difficult. -figure out what your cognitive style of learning is. The cognitive style of learning just means a way your brain most easily and naturally learned things. This can make a huge difference in not only the grades you get but how easy the subject becomes. An example of learning using your cognitive style versus not using your cognitive style, think of a subject in school that is completely boring and un interesting to you. Think of how difficult it is to learn in that class and how difficult it is to remember things. Now think of a subject in or out of school that you really enjoy. Compare how it easy is to learn in the subject you enjoy relative to the subject you do not enjoy. When you are engaging in an activity that you enjoy your brain naturally uses its cognitive style to learn.

Can you imagine how powerful it would be if you can engage your brain in this manner in every subject in school not just the ones you enjoy. You would get straight A's in every class, you would not have to study very much and school, overall, would be a breeze.
