Huangshan, also called Yellow Mountain, consistes of 36 separate peaks, rising above 1,800 m. It is located in southern Anhui Province and covers an area of 250 kilometers.Huangshan is famous throughout Chinese artistic history. It represents the typical mountain in Chinese paintings. Frequently shrouded in mist, many peaks appear to float on clouds. Therefore, they have very fanciful names such as 18 Arhats Worshipping the South Sea, Lotus Flower Peak, Celestial Capital, Paint Brush, etc.
