The reproductive cloning is the one where the nuclear DNA is transferred from the already existing individual for the purpose of making an identical person. However, our technology is not very advanced to produce a clone and so I think it is not legitimate to make human clone because we might end up with "Ogers" in the world. Besides, I don't think it is necessary to make human beings, even though it will be a blessing in disguise for the infertile parents. In order to get perfection in this technique, I definitely think we need to have intense research before it is introduced into application.

Therapeutic stem cell research specially the embryonic cell research is the one where the embryos are developed to pursue research for the therapeutic purposes. A vast majority of people think adult stem cell research is best in order to conduct research for the therapeutic purposes because it doesn't involve killing of a human life. However majority of them don't even know that the embryo obtained for the therapeutic research is not capable to develop into a human being. Although embryonic stem cells have numerous advantages like easy to isolate, identify, and maintain as established stem cell line that can be kept in culture indefinitely serving as "on demand" reservoir for the precursors cells. These precursors can then be used to make organs, bone , cartilage etc.

The major source of the embryonic stem cells is the use of embryos as a result of IVF (in vitro fertilization). It is not that we have to sacrifice the lives, we can use the embryos left over from the IVF. Again I think, it's the set mind of thesociety that these embryos are their asset, that can used for development of a new human being because these embryos are viable for lot of years , I am sure if these people knew that these embryos are useless after few years then there would be lot of embryos down the sink.

Imagine, there is a long big list of people waiting for the organ transplantation because these there are not enough accidents to kill people for these organs. Doesn't it sound cruel that these ill health people pray everyday that somebody dies and they get organ. How nice it will be if these embryos could be used for the therapeutic research and the people who can see their death closely and sleep with a fear that they might not see next morning. It's really sad that people are not really trying to understand the importance of embryonic stem cell research.

These embryo owners should know that they can use their own embryo for organ development then it will be more compatible with their own body and this will also reduce the rejection of the organs and less chances of death.

societywill change their philosophy about this research as the killing of human life but revolution takes time. We need to support our statement that embryonic stem cell research is the best and the easiest way for therapeutic research. In order for this we need to conduct research and ultimately everything comes to funding which is very hard to get, because the fate of this field is associated to legal and ethical issues. The director of bioethics issues suggested, that all the funding should be provided by the federal government and no private institutions to reduce these ethical issues. However, funding provided from NIH for this research is not even used for human embryonic stem cell. It's a shame that our government is funding the stem cell research in other countries like Sweden but depriving our ownscientist from the benefits of this research.

Now is the time to focus on improving the technique of the stem cell research and expanding lines for the use of curing these deadly diseases. Otherwise, the countries where the rules do not restrict them to conduct this kind of research will get some solution, and they will have better quality of life, due to improved technologies in the emerging embryonic stem cell research. Like, I mentioned before, people resist to changes be it eating habit, fashion world or science, revolution will come and it's not too far :)
