Hyundai I20 Distinctly Ahead Setting All New Benchmark

Hyundai i20 can be said as the bigger sibling of the base model- Hyundai i10

, the elder brother of the I family comes in two type of engine options i.e. petrol and diesel. A few months back, Hyundai Motor India introduced two new variants of the i20- Era and Sportz. The new variants are loaded with a host of new features like in-built USB port (in Magna), Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC) system, burglar alarm, steering wheel with audio remote and passenger vanity mirror (in Sportz and Asta).

Hyundai i20 is available in three engine option i.e. a 1.4L, Gamma AT petrol, 1.2L Kappa PL petrol and 1.4L, CRDI diesel engine. The Hyundai i20 which is powered by the 1.4L, 1396cc Gamma AT petrol is a very fuel efficient car with DOHC and MPFI fuel system. This In Line type petrol engine equipped with four speed automatic transmission that produces maximum power of 100 PS @ 5500rpm and a Maximum Torque of 13.9 kgm @ 4200rpm. The 1.2L, 1196cc Kappa PL Petrol engine of Hyundai i20 is coupled with five speed manual transmission that pumps out maximum power of 80 PS at 5200 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.4kgm at 4000rpm.

The Hyundai i20, with 1.4L CRDI diesel engine and new six speed manual transmission, first hatchback with 6 speed transmission, performs excellently and belts out a maximum power of 90PS at 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 22.4kgm at 1750~2750 rpm.

Hyundai i20 is the personification of the modern premium compact hatchback car with sharpness and style in the exteriors and versatile and roomy at the same time in respect of interiors, and not to forget the comfort and safety and reliability it brings with the affordable price range.

The Hyundai i20 is armoured with several safeguards to protect the occupants, these include Dual Airbag with Seatbelt pretensioner, ABS (Anti lock Braking System) with EBD, Side & curtain Airbag, PAB (Passenger Airbag) on/off switch, Child Safety lock, Rear Fog Lamps, Driver Airbag with Seatbelt pretensioner, Brake Assists, seatbelt warning, Central Locking, Keyless entry, Low fuel warning Lamps, day/night inside rear view mirror, Ignition key reminder - CLS disabled, Immobilizer, Impact Sensing auto door unlock, Door & tailgate Ajar warning lamps, etc.
