I went to an office furniture store and asked to see about a desk chair. The salesman was a nice young man, who looked fresh out of high school. He followed me around the showroom pointing out chairs here and there. He must have worked on commission because he skipped the cheaper ones.
I am a writer and spend most of my day sitting at my desk. If I was going to spend money on a new desk chair I wanted it to be "The One". I did not see anything that impressed me in the showroom and was about to leave, when the young man, (I think his name was Jake) said "hey wait man there's more in the back".
He lead me to a large room off to the left of the show room and what I saw was simply amazing. There were hundreds of different desk chairs. So many that some could not be displayed and were stored in boxes along the wall with their pictures displayed.
I wandered around the room, with Jake trailing all the way, trying this chair and that. I had to have a swivel chair and most of them were of that style. Still I could not find the chair that I wanted to spend all day in. I started thinking of finding a way to fix my old chair when I spotted it. It was an executive office chair according to Jake. It fit perfect. I made my purchase, went home and was very comfortable making my living.
