I Owe It To Myself To Make A Significant Change

I would like to become a Medical Transcriptionist because I was formerly a trained EMT

. I have since been a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate for nearly 5 years now, and I am ready to make a change for myself and my family. I work in a very fast-paced environment at almost all times whether I am responding to the hospital ER for rape victims whether an adult or child, accompanying victims and survivors to court to get their protection orders, and answering the phone lines to those who have been directly affected by domestic violence and sexual assault- the stress is catching up to me. On top of this, my workplace is in a shelter program where I am doing many hours of direct service work daily with up to 12 women and their children who are fleeing from their abusers. SN:0TG9Y2ESY

I wake up every morning with what appears to be even more gray hair than yesterday, and I think I owe it to myself to make a significant change in my life. I can't save them all. :( I was introduced to this industry by my mother in law who does this work from home. Whenever we would travel across the mountains she would be in her home -office transcribing. I always thought that it would be nice to be able to focus on one client as opposed to the several I have in an average day. The advantages of working in this industry are many. When I reviewed the Future Mt site, and saw all the different areas that medical transcription is available my mouth dropped. It was very appealing to know that there are 14 healthcare areas to get trained in, and maybe even more. I would also like to be more available for myself and my family. I know that I eventually can work from home with this training and this would be my main goal.

I am very interested in training with Future MT because the site explains everything I can expect, and is very affordable for me with a student loan. The courses appear to be exciting and easy to understand with extra support available. I am real excited to know that I would be mentored throughout the whole process. I am so excited I have been waiting to hear back from someone to discuss this opportunity. Unfortunately, it is Martin Luther King Day, and I doubt anyone is in the office to answer my call, so I am waiting until tomorrow to try again. I would like to see myself be hired on by online medical transcription employers, or an ER or Doctor's office until then. I have dedicated so much of my life to helping other's that I believe I can still be helping while living a life that I deserve. I am very focused, and believe that I could be a very good Medical Transcriptionist for any company whether in my neighborhood, or online. Work from home medical transcription and being able to set my own hours has been on the back of my mind for the last year, and with this opportunity I stand a better chance.
