The economy is not good. In fact, this is a time of recession. The economy will seem to do well for a day, then do worse for two. It seems that every time you take one step forward, you take two steps back and you are losing ground. To do this is very simple. Spruce up the exterior of the house. Paint it if you have to. Inside, do the same. Repair the little things that need repairing. You know you don't want to spend much money, but a few dollars spent on paint and spackle will get you a long way.

The lawn and the entire yard needs to look good. People are going to drive by and see that your house is either going to look really good or it is going to look just average. You want to have people stop and look at the house. If they are driving and stop, that is a really good thing for you.

Change the way house selling is done. Many people put a price on their home and wait for things to happen. If there is a high price, that will scare people away. You don't want to do that. You want to draw people to your home, and you want serious interest placed on it.

In this case, start the house out low, and, what will happen next is that people will bid up instead of bidding down. That is a way to get traffic to your house. You don't necessarily want to sell your home, eventually, that will happen. But, what you can do is auction the house off. The highest bidder wins and you win too.

Start off by calling the people that are interested in your home and inviting over for an evening. What you are doing is actually having a house auction in your living room. This is what you want. You want the interested parties in your house so they have a chance to buy your home right then and there. And, since you have said to yourself, I need to sell my house, you would be well on your way.
