Iberostar To Open Its Ninth Property In Mexico With New Cancun Hotel
Iberostar Cancun, the latest property from Iberostar Hotels & Resorts
, a Spain-based hospitality company, has just been unveiled this week with its official opening finally taking place. This brand new all-inclusive resort is the newest addition to the companys portfolio of luxury hotels in Mexico, and one of the newest Cancun hotels to open in the area. The new property announced a special winter promotion in November as part of Iberostars strategy to attract more visitors.
The recently opened Iberostar Cancun was formerly owned by the Hilton hotel chain. It is now officially owned by the Spanish company, and represents Iberostars ninth property in Mexican territory. However, this tactic to expand their properties in the country did not come cheap for Iberostar.
Including purchase and renovation works, the total cost of the hotel take-over and transformation exceeded $100 million. The newly converted and updated beachfront resort, is the dream of every tourist interested in taking relaxing and indulging Cancun holidays. It comprises 426 rooms and villas, including 16 junior suites (ideal for families with small children), four master suites two villa beach suites and a presidential suite.
The resort has everything a visitor could wish for when searching for a splendid place to stay at during their leisure holidays in Cancun. Featuring seven infinity pools, a professional football field, two tennis courts, a spa, gym and beauty salon, the Iberostar has it all. Another amazing feature of the Iberostar Cancun is the 18-hole golf course, the only currently existing in Cancun. This hotel complex has a nearly 49,000 square-foot convention center, which can be divided into 22 different meeting space configurations and over 60,000 square feet of al fresco area for events, conventions and social activities is also available.
These new perks began to be added to the former Hilton Cancun, once Iberostar acquired the property last summer. Renovations were made all over the resort: the main lobby and the hotel lobby bar have been refurnished and new beautiful terraces have also been built surrounding the pools. With the new updates, including a new buffet and four specialty restaurants (gourmet, Japanese, steak house and Mexican), holidays to Cancun will become a more pleasurable experience for visitors staying at the recently revamped Iberostar Cancun.
The renovations, however, dont stop there. Future updates may also include the construction of a new stage/amphitheatre for nightly show, as well as a Miniclub water park for children and a Teenieclub for youngsters.
