If you intend to buy Leaf Blower Vac: Toro 51599 Electric Blower and Vacuum This is A Review of Experience
I have a very heavily landscaped yard of 3 acres. I use a TroyBuilt chipper-shredder-vacuum for most leaf clean-up, but a leaf blower as an additional asset. I researched and considered leaf blowers heavily and there wasn't a single blower out there, either electric or gas, that had more output than this Toro. I have to confess that I went looking for leaf blowers with no idea that these machines could use as a vacuum too. I just see this Toro leaf blower 51599 was well rated (you can check the picture and more details in the link).
So I bought this blower, and it does a great job of blowing and vacuuming leaves. It is light and easy to hold with plenty of power and user friendly. The collection bag is a decent size. The attachments are simple and easy to use. It was a little bigger than I thought it might be, but it certainly does the job.
It handles deep leaves with ease and also is quite good with wet leaves. It has two speeds and I frequently find myself using the slower speed since the higher often is simply too much air that is a good recommendation for any leaf blower! It is relatively quiet and the sound it makes is not unpleasant. The noise level is no worse than a lawn mower. I don't find it necessary to put on ear protection, unlike with gas powered equipment.
The difference between the ultra and the super models is that the super has only two speeds versus the ultra model which has a variable speed. This model number is the Ultra, is bright Toro red and both come with attachments to both blow and vacuum leaves. I would say go with the Ultra model if you can. It is hard to find in the usual stores.
One down side is, and I'm sure it's like this with most hand held blowers, is it really takes a toll on your arm after a while because of its weight. Some sort of shoulder strap would be helpful.
Anyway, if you are looking for an inexpensive, light electric or battery blower, this blower is excellent. It is quiet and has variable speed. Also seems very well made. Good choice.
