You would think a huge flashing warning light LED lightbar on an emergency vehicle at the side of the road would be hard to miss. Emergency vehicles need to respond as quickly as possible to priority one calls and the only way they can do that is to have flashing LED light bars and sirens. First responders won't use the lights and sirens to respond to any call, only those that are deemed emergencies. In most instances there will be rules and regulations regarding the use of flashing lights and sirens and they must be adhered to. The warning light LED lights and sirens form part of the emergency vehicles warning system and as such they can actually be lifesavers.

Even the most effective warning light LED would be rendered useless without the siren on the vehicle. Likewise the loudest most powerful siren would not be much good without the flashing lights. The flashing warning light LED is the visible alert and the siren would be the audible alert, both will normally be used to give the best effect. The difficulty of using a siren is not everyone can hear but they may be able to see. Someone who can't see will possibly hear the siren, so you can see why it's crucial for emergency vehicles to have both types of hazard warning on them.

Safety of personnel and the public is paramount to any emergency department whether it is fire, police or medical, and safety is helped with the use of the advance warning signs the vehicles have. Anything that can be effective in protecting all concerned is pretty vital. Any first response personnel do a dangerous job. They put themselves into unknown situations every working day. All of the kits they need to warn and inform should be fitted to their vehicles. The effective use of warning light LED, sirens and even PA systems can cut down response times and save lives, and with all three of those things it's hard to ignore an emergency vehicle.
