One of the most interesting and notorious academic awards is the world-wide known Ig Nobel Prize. It is given since 1991 to the researchers which managed to publish the most worthless or ridiculous pieces of scientific research. It was issued by Harvard University that is well-known for the record in the amount of Nobel Prize winners as well as the American popular science magazine The Annals of Improbable Research.
