Impressions on THT - Teaching English As a Foreign Language

I would like to share with you my impressions on the just concluded THT ( Teachers

Helping Teachers ) Second Seminar Series last February 21-22, 2009.

Sharing knowledge, expertise and the like are noble things to do as teachers of the world.

We, teachers from the City of San Jose del Monte are so lucky for having given this rare opportunity to learn. We are even luckier because we have met and exchanged ideas with the knowledgeable, competent and understanding THT volunteers. Our dear THT volunteers ( Sir Steve Wolfe, Sir Brent Jones, Sir Steven Snyder, Sir Michael Furmanovsky, Ma'am Marian Wang, Ma'am Shirley Ando, Ma'am Libby Brown-Osuga and Sir George Mano ) Thank you for allowing these Pinoy teachers peep at the purest secrets of your teaching world. Million thanks to all of you!

To our organizers, DepEd family headed by Dr. Amancio S. Villamejor Jr., Angels Club spearheaded by Hon. Angelito M. Sarmiento, Bukid Foundation with their president Madam Amelita Matsushita, FCPC directress Ma'am Estrella Simon... your kindest gestures of sending us in this free, two-day seminar is a learning to remember.

Rest assured that with all the strategies gained, we promise to do our best. With your help and guidance, we are more than inspired to bring out the gifts from our wards. We will help them realize the importance of their gifts--for themselves, for the country and for the glory of God.

This THT will move CSJDM teachers to go...grow...and glow!

Go: take the roads of learning, unlearning, and relearning.

Grow: every day is a learning day. Each day of our lives will be spent in helping others and in supporting all learning opportunities.

Glow: we are going to share what we have learned and will become agents of change. Just like our volunteer-mentors here: you are all glowing!
