3. Eat foods that have the highest thermic effect. Building off the last tip you want to eat foods that are harder for your body to break down and therefore have a higher thermic effect. These foods include protein, whole fruits, vegetables and high-fiber grains.
4. Stay hydrated. When you are dehydrated your body temperature drops and your body switches off your fat burning and switches on your fat storage to build fat and warm you up.
5. Raise your resting metabolic rate. Your resting metabolic rate is basically the amount of calories you need to just allow your body to function. The best way to do this is to add muscle which requires 50 calories to maintain for each pound of muscle. Workout against resistance 3 days a week.
You can increase your metabolic rate and when you do you will feel a greater amount of energy and lose fat faster.
