All in all, strength training is something that you should participate in. Weight training is only one small part of strength training and if you find that you do not like weight training you can always try a different type of training.
Familiarize yourself with your body and how you can best keep it healthy. The more you are able to do for yourself now the less you will have to do in the long run.
