Most everyone has a computer, or at least access to a computer

, these days but there are certain ways to utilize your computer that you may not have thought about previously. Computers offer their users so many different experiences that sometimes you can get so caught up in certain aspects of computing that you forget about other areas that might be of interest to you. For example you might be caught up with browsing the Internet or playing video games but neglect some other areas of functionality. Computers can be a great tool for you to utilize on a day to day basis and hopefully you can find some more uses that will be good for you.

While most of us use our computers to browse the Internet, check our Email, and browse social networking sites, many of us neglect some of the educational benefits of our computers. One really great way to use your computer is as an educational tool. If you have an MP3 player you can really begin to utilize your computer as a learning tool. Of course you can always use online services to purchase audio books to download onto your mp3 player, but did you know that many libraries and universities now offer free audio book downloads? Thats right; many local libraries now offer audio book downloads, which will allow you to use your computer as a free learning tool. Typically only need to do is go online, find your local library and find out if they offer this type of program. From there its typically as simple as entering your library card information and downloading a file player and your audio book files.

Another great way to use your computer or smart phone for educational purposes mainly applies to students but could also apply to people in the business world. If youve ever had something that you needed to study but didnt have the time to sit down and read than you could try this tip. If you have what you need to study in text format on your computer then you can e-mail it to yourself and download it onto your smart phone. From there you will need to find an application that does text to voice. There are many applications like this out there and most are free. Simply take your downloaded information and entered into your text to speech application. You can then study as if you are listening to an audio book! There are undoubtedly many more ways to use your computer for educational purposes but these are two of my favorites.
