Taking action is the single most important thing you can do to be successful. By taking action, you are setting the stage for major improvements in your lifestyle.

MLM (multi-level marketing) and mail order businesses are also very popular in home businesses. If you think you may like that better, then by all means check it out. However, even those businesses have some form or facet of Internet marketing in them as well. So, don't be averse to earning money on the Internet even if you aren't creating websites and promoting them. It's used by most businesses today in some fashion.

Other ways of ramping up an online business would be to start service businesses. Such as ghost writing for other people, a typing service, transcription service, credit counseling service, how-to information businesses, etc. That just names a few. The opportunities are almost endless when it comes to operating a business on the Internet.

Figure out how many competitors you'll encounter, take a look at pricing and what customers or clients would be willing to pay for your product or service. Clearly define your market and your customers. Create a plan and type it up - then run your ideas past other people in similar businesses to see if they can offer any helpful suggestions. If feedback is positive from them then create a more detailed marketing and business plan. Now all that's left to do is execute your plan and take the appropriate action steps to make it happen.
