How To Reduce Rejection on a Cold Call

One of major challenges faced by a network marketer today is getting over the paralyzing fear of cold calling a prospect. We all must have been faced by this gripping fear when we are about to cold call a prospect. The reason behind this fear is one thing and that is, consciously or unconsciously we all are afraid of rejection and it is the fear of rejection which is actually more worse than the actual rejection. Infact most of the times when we actually face the real situation, nothing of this bad happens what we actually imagine it to be. So the key here is to grow a thick skin and start calling as many people as can and you will see the fear starts to fade away call after call. But if you love it and want to stay with it for some time then here are few things to follow which can reduce the rejection on a cold call to quite an extent.

1) Give a reference - The first thing to do here is give the name of the person who referred you the lead. For example Mr Robbins gave you the contact information of Mr Dilts who is either his colleague or a friend. So when you call Mr Dilts, just mention the name of Mr Robbins and a mere mentioning the name would let Mr Dilts lower his guards down. It is a very simple but powerful tip.

2) Go for existing multi level marketers - If you are the president of your newly formed organization and you are hiring new people then who would you like to hire. Would you go for freshers or would you go for experience professionals and the chances are you would prefer the latter. So if you go for existing network marketers, you will definitely reduce your chances of rejection as they would be more receptive to you and secondly no problem of training them just get them familiarized with your company's compensation plan.

3) Don't ignore insurance agents, telecallers, salesmen for your business - This should be your target market. First of all they are already doing what you require them to do and that is cold calling people or meeting people. If you get them to join your business they can build it massively for you and above all most of them would be open to receive even a cold call from you.

They key is to work smart instead of hard. You should not be selling ice to an Eskimo but meat to a meat eater. If you follow the above methods then not only you can build a large organization but you would be putting only those people whom you require and that would weed out the unneccessary people you don't want in your organization.
