Start by a root cause analysis! Yes, think, recall, think hard, and get to the major reason of breakup. Work backwards. Analyze the events that happened; any of your actions or words might have hurt your ex. If you know the reason, only then can you reverse the break up and get things back to normal.

Don't be the villain of your story! No blame game is to be played. You are to reverse the break up... not to strengthen the hard feelings.
