Is Rocket Language Spanish Any Good?

,000 products over the years and is one of the world's biggest leaders in downloadable language software and programs. Rocket Spanish is only one of many language learning programs offered by Rocket Languages and remains one of their best sellers. But, just because it has a large following does it make it any good? Can you learn Spanish like a rocket as their website claims?

As a person who has tried other language learning software such as Rosetta Stone or Fluenz, I can honestly offer a comparison of the Rocket Language Spanish program with other courses that claim to teach fast Spanish.

Here is what I have discovered. In general, the Rocket Language Spanish program is extremely comprehensive. If your primarily interested in learning to speak Mexican or Latin American type of Spanish than you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a course that teaches formal Spanish or Spanish as it's spoken in Spain than this program isn't for you. It is apparent that the focus of Rocket Spanish is to teach you to be conversant with friends and family, but they do make a distinction that you will need to change the verbiage when speaking with strangers.

The interactive audio lessons will have you speaking Spanish quickly because it's set up in a conversational format and shows you how to pronounce and reply when spoken to. With these audio lessons there are lots of chances to get practice and repetition. The best part of the audio lessons are the fact they come on mp3 formats so you can put them on your ipod or mp3 player and play them anywhere. This is something that isn't available in other programs as I have found out.There is also written content to supplement the interactive lessons that help you learn how the language is written and helpful hints along the way that help you understand what really matters when speaking Spanish in the real world. I suppose the best part of the program in my opinion is how practical it is. The main focus of the course is showing you confidently how to speak Spanish and understand it.

Finally, there is learning software that comes with the program and teaches you how to build your vocabulary quickly by listening and viewing pictures. There are so many different types of learning components in this course that every learner will benefit. However, my only complaint would have to be that Rocket Spanish is not very fluid in organization or lay out of the material. For instance, the audio is broken down into small chunks and you either need to find the written portion that goes with the audio or just listen to the audio by itself. Perhaps, some people might like this because it makes the program extremely flexible. You have the choice on how you wish to learn the material and how fast you want to learn it. I personally, like something that has a progression of sorts. On the other hand, Rocket Spanish does provide many opportunities to learn Spanish at your own pace and choose the format that best fits your learning style. For many people this is a good thing.

If cost is a factor than take a look at Rocket Spanish. You will save a ton of money on shipping and packaging if you purchase the download version of the course. It costs a fraction of what other programs cost. Not to mention, you can start learning Spanish right away instead of waiting for it to arrive in the mail. The content you get in Rocket Language Spanish is excellent and will not disappoint. The price of Rocket Spanish makes it a great value for the money.
