First thing you need to know is that you need to insure that you properly market your business. If you do not, Facebook will slam the door on you and you could lose access. One thing the social media providers will not accept is you spamming its membership. Now, in another article, I talk about not being lazy, and this is where the lazy will hit the pits.
Now, the reason Facebook is so good, it initially started out with it being for kids. A research firm found that in a six month study from September of 2008 to February 2009, there was a 51% growth in subscribers between 35 and 44, and 47% increase between 45 and 54. Age 26-34 only grew 26%. Now, let me say here that the largest group in network marketing is between 29 and 49 years old. More than half of the 140 Million users are out of college and may be struggling to find a position in their career field. So, here is what the savvy networkers are seeing on Facebook.

Remember that you want to position yourself and your business, not the company that you are working with. If I am working with Ameriplan or Melaleuca, I would not set up a page that you would even associate with the company. Why? People will want me to help them get their products. I am not an employee or owner of the company. Now, here is where it benefits you. When you become a friend or others become a friend to the page, it will get people that have an interest or maybe curious to check it out. They can contain photos, videos, and applications and this feeds information to the people in your community.
Then you have Facebook groups. Have your group be those with a certain concern or need that relates back to your business. You can build the community to talk about and share findings with one another.
These two areas alone can help you create the buzz about what you are doing. Now, as they become fans of your page and group, will allow the others to get updates. Those updates are posted on the wall of their Facebook accounts and then their friends will see it and become a viral marketing for your business.
