. What does it take to win? This Shamam PvP guide will help you with a few of the important things you need to know before rolling a shaman for PvPing.
First thing first, you need a Shaman that's geared up for PvP. Or else, you'll only suffer the indignation of emerging from a combat as a loser.
Perhaps among the most difficult part of transitioning from a PvE player to PvP is the change of gear. You will need to get the gear that not only provides the proper protection but also the additional values to certain attributes. As with all other classes in WoW, gear is of prime importance in keeping you alive in the free for all arena, but more so in Arena teams.
{Shaman PvP Gears}
As a Shaman PvP, the gears that could help you best are the following the Savage Gladiator Armor, Hateful Armor, Deadly Gladiator, and Furious Gladiator. The majority of these could be obtained using Honor Points or other specialized items like Emblems of Conquest or Emblems of Valor. The Furious Gladiator armor, is currently the top PvP set for this class. As such, players who want to get it pays a high price serious time spent on the game, high team and personal ratings in the Arena PvP, and the necessary Honor Points.

Those totems were created for a reason they enhance the power of the Shamans in both PvE and PvP. So whatever totem you have, dont hesitate to use it in combat. It always pays to have some extra powerful tools to increase you capacity to deal damage. In general, the following are a few of the bad boys in the Shaman's arsenal which may come in handy for any Shaman build Grounding Totem, Tremor Totem, Earth Shock, Earthbind Totem, Bloodlust or Heroism, Purge, Hex, Ghost Wolf, and Cleansing Totem.

{Restoration Shaman}
The Restoration Shaman is an often overlooked build for PvP Shamans. Although quite arguably not the best build for PvPing, the Restoration Shaman still has its uses in the team Arena. For one, it is the best example of a 5th member in any group the character that can deal damage while at the same time act as a support member. It does tanking very decently, cast impressive damage from a distance, but above all, heal its teammates with its superb buffs and healing spells.
When rolling this build, however, you are advised not to try to take down opponents more powerful than yourself. Always think that in groups, you are the go-to-guy for buffs and heals but never for rallying you team against other teams. The best thing you should do keep yourself distanced from your opponents and hurl down your ranged spells and buffs.
Your best hands are always the Ghost Wolf and the Frost Shock, although you can also trust on the Chain Heal if you're willing to risk the longer cast time. It is not advisable to use Chain Heal however if you're within range of your opponents.
{Elemental Shaman}
The DPS caster of the class. You're best strategy is to defeat your enemies within your maximum casting range. Call on the elements every time you can and send your opponents to their graves while dishing out powerful buffs and heals for your teammates.
{Enhancement Shaman}
