Tragedy strikes at the worst time. Jessica Fashano was a diligent analyst for Citigroup and she was a known philanthropist as well. But this did not prevent her from committing suicide by jumping out of a 40-story skyscraper in New York City just this past Saturday.

A Saturday Morning Destroyed

She must have been certainly generous to be known as a philanthropist since she was only 27-years old. She walked into an apartment complex that she did not live and took the elevator all the way to the roof. She leaped off and landed down on the internal courtyard where people relax, read books, and chit chat. Anyone who came outside to do any of these activities shortly after 8:00am on Saturday morning would have their day and perhaps life irrevocably shaken.

Many people have wondered who she was. Why would she do this? Did she have a bad liposuction experience or was she so overweight that she could not have a liposuction operation fast enough? She was highly intelligent, she was depressed, her feelings for others were profound, and what is most troubling to everyone around her is that she appeared to have every base covered. No one knows why she did this? But there were some signs. She was on medication for depression. But despite this her closest friends say she was always outgoing, happy, and positive. It was almost as if something spun loose inside her in a short amount of time.

This is a terrible story. No one knows why this happened. Regarding any weight issues, she certainly did not need Liposuction and she had an amazing smile. It appears her death will remain a mystery. Weight issues do cause depression though. This is a fact. This wonderful procedure-liposuction-has saved many lives and possibly prevented more actions such as the tragic one that Fashano chose.
