Jewelery - All Its Functions

Jewelery can be made from many different kinds of items

, including beads, glass, gems, diamonds and metal cuts. They can dress up many parts of the body and are worn by men, women and kids. Some jewelery serves as a purpose such as when it is worn for religious reasons or to signify a marriage or engagement, while it can also be worn just for fun.

Jewelery has been made for many parts of the body including the toes, where it is common to see gold or silver bands here and can consist of gems, diamonds or just plain. Ankle bracelets are usually seen in silver or gold and can be plain or can have some kind of design to the band, and have a pendant attached to it. Ankle bracelets can also be made using beads, plastic or cotton straps.

Tummy necklaces are popular when girls are going out to a bar and want to dress up their bare tummy; they are also common with belly dancers who use it as part of their costume. Necklaces can come in many forms, shape and styles. They can consist of just a plain silver or gold chain or be made from beads as well. Necklace chains can be solid, looped or in a certain pattern. At times they can be just the chain or can have something dangling off the end like a matching pendant. It is popular to dress up a necklace with a diamond shape of some kind or a gold pendant of something special.

Earrings are worn by women, kids and sometimes men, who will wear it in just one ear. Earrings for men are usually studs or small loops, while for kids or women they can come in more styles, colors and sizes. Some women wear huge loops around their ears or earrings with huge designs on them. Often times a necklace will match the earrings. Bracelets hang off the wrists and look great in plain metals or flashy colors. They can be worn by itself or in a group similar to it. In some countries girls wear bracelets right up their forearm; some people collect bracelets and keep them on at all times.

Broaches are pieces of jewelery that sit on a blouse or sweater, most commonly found in older generations as they were popular a few decades ago. Rings are found around the fingers. Some people wear many rings on the fingers decorating each finger with a different style, while other wear just one. They can sometimes signify a special thing such as a marriage or engagement. Some people also wear friendship rings that they have bought with a friend.

Jewelery for some is a collection of items that remind them of a special time or event. Often times, many people will receive or buy several necklaces or earrings in their life time and won't wear them forever, but will keep them in a jewelery box for keepsake or the scattered future use.

Jewelery has been around for many years and will continue to grow, change and meet our needs in the future. It is worn around the world and continuous to stay popular where ever it is found. Some people use it to dress up the outfit they are wearing or wear it to compliment the clothes they have. Some people say they feel naked without it and use it every day.
