John Staluppi Grateful for NY Auto Giant Executives' Efforts Supporting National Kidney Registry
John Staluppi was delighted to hear the news about the awarding of two of the company's philanthropists, NY Auto Giant executives John Pickett and Michael Brown. The honor is to be given in recognition of their efforts in sponsoring the the National Kidney Registry (or NKR)
The NKR was chosen as one of the many charities supported by John Staluppi and his NY Auto Giant dealerships. Knowing that the purpose of the foundation is to unite kidney transplant donors to those in need, the two never hesitated to sponsor a project that will benefit the victims of kidney disease. Much to their surprise, they were able to collect a hundred thousand dollars from the fundraising gala recently held.
What Inspired them to Join?
The purpose of the NKR was one of the driving forces for Mr. Pickett and Mr. Brown's active participation in the foundation's endeavors. They knew that fundraising activities such as that of the NKR will be of great help in building quality lives for those afflicted with kidney failure. This support of this organization will also serve to assist the families of these affected individuals.
John Staluppi and his employees were moved by the inspiring story of Jacquelyn Maher-Brucia, an NY Auto Giant employee as well. Jacquelyn was once a supporter of the organization and soon found out she would soon need a kidney.
These efforts resulted to a great achievement not only for the two but for their teacher, John Staluppi as well as the rest of the NY Auto Giant team. For this reason, the company hosted a three-hour gala event on November 17 at West Islip's La Grange Inn. The event also served to honor the philanthropist efforts of Mr. Pickett and Mr. Brown.
