You can never discount the efficacy of the offline methods for ascertaining the reputation of the projects. For this you might have to travel quite a bit and meet people to enquire more about the builder.

Your friends, relations and other acquaintances who have personally experienced the service and delivery of the builder and its project, can guide you the best. However, if you are investing in a distant project where none of your contacts might have invested, it is better to travel close to the project site and meet the property agents. You shall also visit the office of builder and seek all the answers to your questions. If there are some customers in the office, you can enquire from them about the project.

This activity might take time and, therefore, you shall be patient and give yourself time before going with a particular builder project.
