Depending upon the amount of suction that is required for the industrial application of the vacuum mechanism there are two main types of vane vacuum pumps that can be supplied to do the job.

When the maximum amount of internal pressure is needed to perform a task, it is recommended that manufacturers bring in a lubricated sliding vane vacuum pump to keep the heavily used machinery operating at capacity. In factories that may not have the need for 100% performance from the individual machines an oil-free unit might be sufficient to meet the needs of the job. Depending upon the highest level of performance that is required, the cost of equipment can be greatly different between the two types of vacuum pump, but what is the same is that each unit must be properly maintained.

After a certain amount of time individual components of the machinery must be replaced, the constant wearing of parts that are in use day-in and day-out take their toll on the equipment and regardless of whether the unit is lubricated or not, it must have its parts switched out after a certain amount of time has passed. With regular maintenance the industrial machines that are in use to provide consumers with everything from cupcakes to kitchen appliances can continue to produce the items that are being used every day by people throughout America. Whether it is putting a cap onto a bottle of soda, or picking up a steel door that will be mounted onto the framework of a car, the industrial world owes its living to the performance capabilities of the vacuum pump.
