Kick The Habit The Nature Of Nicotine
Fortunately for us all, your regular every day cigarette contains only a very small amount of nicotine
. A good job, because it not only has the ability to cause feelings of euphoria and even relaxation, but it also causes the release of brain altering endorphins for an addictive 'rush' - which is why many find it difficult to kick the habit permanently!
It's a clear liquid in its' raw form and deadly should any large amount be consumed - luckily [or unluckily, depending how you feel about it] there's only ever a very tiny quantity of it in cigarettes so it only acts as a stimulant.
Although it isn't a direct cause of lung damage as is the inhalation of cigarette smoke it does have other very significant dangerous health destroying properties such as the release of surplus glucose into your bloodstream which inhibits life-supporting insulin, it increases your blood pressure, causes shallower breathing and a raised heart rate.
A dangerous by-product of smoking tobacco [alongside many others], nicotine is addictive and is absorbed into your bloodstream each time you take a puff and there starts a true vicious circle - the nicotine takes leave of your body very quickly, so you begin to crave for that next cigarette.
So in a nutshell, nicotine by its' massively addictive nature causes the smoker to feel the need to reload the nicotine content of his/her body and no matter what a smoker knows and feels regarding the ill-effects of smoking, they will forever 'need' and crave for one more cigarette.
It'd be no unusual thing now for that 'vicious circle' to lead a person straight to what is commonly referred to as "chain-smoking" so that a lofty level of nicotine is always maintained in the body.
It's generally acknowledged that the daily count for most smokers is at least twenty cigarettes and there are plenty of smokers of course that would far exceed this amount as they crave more and more for that nicotine induced need for a new 'high'.
That now neatly leads onto what is probably the biggest hurdle faced by anyone trying to quit the smokes - powering through and over-coming that nicotine craving is just not straightforward and for various people would mean that it will take some substantial time to do just that.
However, after all is said and done, and armed with some strong nicotine knowledge - what exactly it is, what exactly it does to the human body and mind and how it does it, will arm you further for the war you're about to pronounce on a noxious and killer habit.
Don't procrastinate, discover the method that best suits you for helping you to quit, set your goals and stick to them and like so many others already have, you will triumph!
In summary; nicotine is extremely addictive and just like any other addictive substance, is dangerous but even though you're bound to find it a little tough at first, being able to kick the habit is much easier than you think YOU ONLY HAVE TO WANT TO!
Quitting smoking naturally, speedily, and permanently isn't and has never been about overly complicated systems and/or poisonous pills and patches - it's all about simplicity, a little bit of will-power and some genuine tried and tested tobacco-quitting knowledge.
