Knocking Out Short Guy Misconceptions

When a short guy finds himself on the dating scene he is often uncomfortable not

because of the environment he is in, but in the means that social media displays an "attractive" image. The media has destroyed the confidence of many guys by elevating people who meet specific criteria which are neither realistic, nor the only thinks women look for. The reality is that these media-promoted people make up a tiny minority of the world's population - but society has allowed itself to fall victim to this persona of the Hollywood image. The first step of any short guy to take before looking to enter the dating scene, or prior to advancing into a relationship, is to reassess his self-image. You must leave behind any idea that what the media has portrayed as attractive, and instead look towards focusing on your image and what you have to offer. Working on your strengths, and learning how to interact with women, can be far more compelling (and yes, sexy) than just height.

The number one area that you need to work on is confidence. Everyone can have appeal to women - and by consciously making efforts to improve your interactions with women you'll build up confidence. If you are the funny short guy then don't be scared to express your comedic persona and lighten up the night for other people. If you're the creative type, play it to your advantage when you're talking with women and have the confidence that your only one of its kind interests and skills are compelling to women - understanding that you already have the tools you need to succeed can give you the confidence that all short guys should possess.

The reality is that too many short guys focus on the fact that they are short - and fall to the misperception that this is a principal thing in the dating scene. When a woman meets a short guy, that is rarely any part of her focus as your persona, and other skills such as demonstrating leadership, being interesting, and projecting confidence makes all the difference.

The next area to work on for the short guy once your confidence is built is found with defining your appeal. It may surprise you, but most of the women like short men, and sometimes even prefer them to the more intimidating tall, oafish guys they meet every day. Tall men have come to consider that they are the ideal candidate for any woman, but the truth is that they tend to be a pain in the neck - literally.

A woman is forced to look up to make eye contact, stand on her toes to kiss and find themselves always stuck with a tweaked neck. The straight-line eye contact and level lips that short guys offer are a huge comfort to most women. What's more, the taller guys (like more attractive women) rely on their height and often don't build on other skills of interacting that can actually be more important to meeting women. You can find it hard to believe, but short guys who work on their dating skills can in fact run circles around tall ones. Frankly, the reason that the short guy is not booked around the clock is that most short guys do not have the trust to support their great appeal.
