Houses are considered as the basic type of housing across the world

, even in the Philippines. However, there are certain types of Philippines homes which also became popular for many Filipinos. These are townhouses, apartments, and condominiums. Townhouses and apartments have long been known in the Philippines while condominiums were only been recently introduced into the market, yet became very popular in the Philippines. So what do we know about these other types of houses?

Townhouse

A townhouse is a form of multi-unit dwelling in which each floor of a structure, such as a building, is individually owned. Although townhouses have long been recognized in the Philippines as one of the most popular types of Philippines homes, these types were first developed in the United Kingdom, Ireland and in many other countries which was used by aristocracy in the capital or major city. Townhouses were eventually introduced in other countries, including the Philippines.

Like in the past, townhouses are still known to provide luxury which is only for the wealthy. Townhouse complexes are types of townhouses which became popular because of its features such its high security and resort facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, and recreational areas.

Apartments

Apartments have long been known across the world. It became because it allowed people to find a suitable residents without having to invest too much money. This is because apartments are usually rented or leased rather than bought. There are many types of apartments in the Philippines today, and one of the most popular are studio type apartments.

These types of apartments are mostly comprised of a small room which is a combination of bedroom, dinning room, and kitchen, while the comfort room has its own room. Studio type apartments are usually the smallest but with the cheapest value. Other popular types are the one, two, three-bedroom apartments and garden apartment complex.

Condominium

Although it was only been recently that condominiums were introduced in the Philippine market, these types of Philippines homes rapidly became popular in the market. The reason why condominiums became popular, particularly in today's market, is that it can give the same type of luxury that townhouses are known for while keeping its price at the minimum.

There have also been talks about the difference of condominiums and apartments. In terms of physical form, condominiums and apartments are very much similar. According to many experts, the same building developed as a condominium could actually be built someplace else as an apartment building. The difference, however, is its ownership. Condominiums are individually owned while apartments are leased or rented to tenants.
