They feel more confident and secure with the additional powered lights helping to light up a dark interior especially at nights when they are on the chase. These lights when turned on provide effective hazard warning and maximum visibility. Police cars do not use these Dash Lights unless there is an emergency. Stationery emergency vehicles flashing these Dash Lights indicate that the road is unsafe for use. Moving police cruisers will use these lights when they need to give chase and catch the perpetrator. Police officers may also use the lights to do some paperwork when sitting in their vehicles.
