LG Cookie Review: The New Kid on the Block

With the increasing demand for mobile phones, more and more multinationals came into the mobile phone market and launched several models that were affordable as well as immensely usable. LG, an electronics giant was in the mobile market for a long time, and finally hit it right with the LG Cookie. The LG Cookie was one of the first low priced touch phones that created a rave in the market. Here is a brief review of LG Cookie

The most unique point that the LG Cooke offered was a touch screen phone on a tight budget. The mobile was a general candy shaped phone that was slimmer than many other phones that were available at that time. Because it had a touch screen mode, it could offer a big screen, as well as a QWERTY keypad for those who wanted to use it.

The phone also supports Bluetooth, mobile internet, and had music playing capabilities, along with a radio player. One also had some pre loaded games which were basically aimed to make the user use the touchscreen user interface to its fullest. The phone also had a 3.2 megapixel camera, but it was nothing to write home about. The camera had no flash.

The phone had good voice clarity, and it was pretty simple to carry it about, given its slim and sleek features. It could easily be put into the top pocket and forgotten about. One disadvantage, however, was that the keylock button could be easily pressed by mistake, which would have disastrous results if not checked at the right time.

While the phone was an eagerly awaited one and sold many pieces, there were some disadvantages that did not allow the phone to become a runaway hit. One of the main reasons was that Samsung came up with the Samsung Corby Touch at around the same time, which was a superior product. The LG also suffered from a touch screen that generally lagged, and was not quite up to the mark. Also, the LG Cookie did not allow for YouTube streaming, which was one of the major essential features offered b y other phones in its price range.
