Dude it works!
Most of my old NiMH batteries last only 10 or 20 pictures or 30 seconds of video before the camera with the battery icon starts blinking. If I was not fast enough, I could rule out the camera before it is turned off. I travel to places that are poor in a number of power outages daily. Apparently my old charger (2) were all based on self-timer, because every time I thought blipped loaded again, even if the battery is fully charged. The batteries are so hot just happened charger without burning your fingers. My old charger, all were "fast" chargers are usually one or two hours. I was not a good habit to use the batteries "down" before launching the new charger.
This magazine La Crosse low default rate, 200 mA for each battery. I launch and batteries that are ready in a couple of hours. But now the last days or weeks allows me to charge at least 100 photos. Since each battery is considered separately, you can overload the battery. Reset function that allows me to have a pretty good life in my old battery, but not last that long, and my new battery supplied with the charger.
I would recommend this unit to all those who depend on AA or AAA "needs." I'm pretty picky about technical issues, but it is a workable solution.

This is the best battery charger I have ever owned. It simply has all the functions you would ever want for a charger - charging, discharging, refreshing, and trickle charging. This is one of several La Crosse products that I own and they are all very well built and do what they are supposed to do. I recommend it very highly.

Best dang charger ever made
With this charger you can see what each individual battery is doing. I even once accidentlally put a non-rechargeable one in there and it told me about it.
It takes usually overnight to fully charge depeleted batteries. I use it for AA's for photography, remote controls, electric tooth brush, etc. Pays for itself.
By the way, Sanyo Eneloop batteries are particulularly good because they hold the charge a long time while sitting around.
