Launching New Hyundai Cars In India
Hyundai Motor Company is the fifth largest automaker in the world that manufactures various segments of cars
. Hyundai Motor India Limited is the second largest car manufacturer after Maruti Suzuki. Hyundai cars have gained a great deal of popularity in producing most reliable car models due to their compact size and great fuel efficiency.
Due to a great demand of cars manufactured by Hyundai, the company is always in process of introducing new cars in different segments that are equipped with latest technology and stylish features. With the emergence and growing need of SUVs, it introduced its first SUV, popularly known as Hyundai Santa Fe was a milestone for the company.
It was initially introduced in 2001 and it was affordable when compared with other SUVs available in the market. However, it failed to meet the competition in many areas. Thankfully, Hyundai has launched the second generation of Hyundai Santa Fe, which is a major step towards performance and styling.
This car is powered with 2.2 ltr CRDi, DOHC, 2199cc, 4 Diesel engines that produces 3800rpm with maximum power of 197Ps and highest torque at 1800-2500rpm on 420Nm with the help of 6 speed transmission system. It has seven-seating capacity and comes in two models-2WD and 4-WD.
It is armored with many safety features like Anti Braking System with EBD technology, six airbags, ESP, child seat anchor, engine immobilizer and many more. Hyundai Santa Fe is priced between Rs 20, 95,000 and Rs 22, 95,000.
Hyundai Motor Company is also set to launch Hyundai Avante diesel which is a D segment car that was sold as Hyundai Elantra overseas. As Elantra was a major flop, Hyundai re-launched it as Avante diesel, it being more spacious sedan model with a seating capacity of five and a storage compartments galore.
It is expected to be launched in petrol and diesel version with 6-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant will have a displacement of 1591cc DOHC with CWT engine generating a maximum power of 6200 rpm with 118 BHP and maximum torque at 4200 rpm with 156 Nm.
The Diesel variant would be powered by 1582cc CRDi engine generating a maximum power at 4000rpm with 115 BHP and maximum torque at 1900rpm with 260Nm. Hyundai Avante diesel is expected to be priced between 10-13 lakhs depending on trim level and the model.
After successful sales of Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20, Hyundai is all set to launch a new version known as Hyundai i30. It is a C segment car with five door hatchback model having two diesel engines and three petrol engines, either with automatic or manual transmissions.
This car boasts about many safety features like Anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), six airbags and active front head restraints. Currently, Hyundai i30 is priced at $26,490 overseas and is expected to be same in Indian market.
Thus, observing the past track records, Hyundai has never been complacent. It is continually introducing new models of Hyundai cars in different segments to capture large market share in the automobile industry all over the world.
