Use lower temperature settings only use hot for greasy stains.

Only dry similar types of clothing together.

During good weather seasons, consider hanging clothes outside in order to use free solar energy to do the drying.

Check the outside dryer exhaust vent on a regular basis. Be sure to clean it and make sure that the outside hood opens and closes freely.
